Cuboingo uses one main screen from which to launch you into your games, pause screens, introduction screens, gameover screens, etc. The following introduces these screens and explains what they are for in detail. |

Introduction
Cuboingo starts by displaying its Title screen - or "Main Game" screen. By clicking on the big cube, you start your journey into the gameplay of Cuboingo as follows: (click on a screen shot below to learn more about it)

DEMO Version flow: Clicking on the big cube in the Main Screen of the Demo version displays the Default Controls in the Intro screen. Here you learn what your goal is, what is considered correct and what is considered a mistake. The default control scheme is also visually explained here. By pressing the 'Enter' key or clicking on 'Play Now!' you proceed to Level 1 in the Game Screen of the Demo Game. Here you either Win the game, Lose the game or Pause the game.
FULL Commercial Version flow: Clicking on the big cube in the Main Screen of the Full Commercial version displays the "Load Script" dialog. Here you select which Game Script you would like to play. Once a valid script is selected, you either proceed to view the Default Controls in the Intro screen, or, if you have checked the "Skip Intro" button in the lower-right corner of the dialog box, you'll proceed directly to your game! In the Intro Screen, you learn what your goal is, what is considered correct and what is considered a mistake. The default control scheme is also visually explained here. By pressing the 'Enter' key or clicking on 'Play Now!' you proceed to Level 1 in the Game Screen of the Demo Game. Here you either Win the game, Lose the game or Pause the game. You may choose to save your Game Stats at any time during or immediately after your game.

Main Screen

Load Script

Cuboingo Scripts Folder |
This is the folder inside your computer that Cuboingo looks for Game Scripts. Cuboingo remembers the last folder you selected. For simplicity's sake, it is recommended to keep all your Cuboingo Scripts inside your Cuboingo > Scripts folder - but you can keep them anywhere! |
Script Information |
This area lets you get an idea of what each Script is about, who made it, how difficult it is, etc. by previewing it's Script Information. Keep in mind that the author of the Script creates this information - so anything can be written here.

Check to skip Introduction |
Normally, Cuboingo displays the "Intro Screen" after selecting a Script (for the full commercial version). To bypass the Intro Screen, simply check this box. You can uncheck the box at any future visit to this dialog.

Good Action! |
To fill each cube, match the correct colored pattern with the corresponding empty spot. There is usually*** no penalty for matching the correct colored pattern with an already-filled spot. Click here for more information.

Bad Action! |
Every time a mismatching (different) colored pattern touches your cube, a mistake is registered. Three mistakes are allowed before the game ends. Click here to learn how |
Default Controls |
These are the standard controls used to play the game. You can change these controls by selecting the Game > Configure pull-down menu and the 'Control' tab, then following the instructions. |
Start Playing! |
Pressing this button will start the game, as will pressing the 'Enter' key.

Time |

Mistake |
Every time a mismatching (different) colored pattern touches your cube, a mistake is registered. Three mistakes are allowed before the game ends.

Falling Piece |
Cuboingo can send falling pieces from three main directions (as indicated in the 'Active Game Area' portion of the illustration above). |
Paused Game
Notable elements from this screen include:

Pause |
Press the 'Spacebar' to pause the game (or press Ctrl+P). A 'paused' game is denoted by the screen dimming darker and the word 'Paused' displayed on top. The game will remain frozen until you unpause it. |
Unpause (Resume) |
Press the 'Spacebar' to unpause (or resume) the game (or press Ctrl+P). |
Game Over

Save Stats |

Replay |
Pressing the 'Enter' key will replay your last game, as will pressing the 'Replay' button. |
