Click here to walk-through Cuboingo™ and its different screens.
Cuboingo™ displays your cube in the center of the game screen. Your 6-sided cube is divided into 1 or more colored squares per side. Cuboingo™ sends floating colored squares towards your cube. The object of the game is to fill up all sides of your cube with correctly matching colored patterns from the floating squares. Cuboingo™ allows you to make 3 mistakes per game.

The following sections describe gameplay and how to control your cube.

To the Top!  Gameplay

Your cube starts out with its six colored sides dimmed, revealing that they are empty. Each side can have 1, 4 or 9 squares in it to fill, depending on whether the side is a 1x1, 2x2 or 3x3 division:

1 x 1 2 x 2 3 x 3

GOAL: Fill the unfilled squares of your cube with the correct matching colored pattern.

If this is enough explanation for you, skip down to the Control section below.
If you'd like more information, keep reading...

The following are possible situations you'll encounter when playing Cuboingo™:

Example 1: Correct colored pattern match with empty cube square.

Result: Fills the square and brightens the color to indicate it is filled.

Example 2: Correct colored pattern match with filled cube square.

Result: No effect (because filling a "filled" square isn't possible!).

Example 3: Wrong colored pattern match with empty cube square(s).

Result: Registers a mistake (you can make 3 total per game).

Example 4: Correct match with empty/filled cube squares.

Result: Fills the empty square and leaves the filled square intact.

Example 5: Wrong colored pattern match with filled cube square(s).

Result: Unfills any filled squares it comes in contact with, and registers a mistake.

Example 6: Wrong colored pattern match with empty/filled cube square(s).

Result: Unfills any filled squares it comes in contact with, and registers a mistake.
Now that you understand the possibilities, let's move on to learning how to control your cube!

To the Top!  Control

In order to correctly fill each cube side with its matching colored pattern, you will need to rotate your cube using your keyboard's numeric key pad***. There are 3 main directions you can rotate your cube, including:

horizontally from left to right (and vice-versa)
diagonally from lower-left to upper-right (and vice-versa)
diagonally from upper-left to lower-right (and vice-versa)
*** You may configure the game controls by selecting "Configuration" in the Game pull-down menu, then clicking on the 'Control' tab.

The following animations demonstrate these directions:

To rotate your cube to the left, press the key pad button "4." Similarly, to rotate your cube to the right, press the key pad button "6." Here is a visual example:
