Cuboingo™ Game Scripts allow you to customize virtually anything about your Cuboingo™ game. If you would like to share a game script you've created, consult the appropriate guidelines below:

FOR FUN
You may share your original script in this topic, or create your own topic in which to share it and get feedback. There are no rules for sharing your scripts for fun (other than being honest)!

CONTEST ENTRY
If you would like to submit your script as a contest entry, you must follow these rules for each entry:

  • Your Cuboingo™ Script must be a .txt text file...
    (i.e. "joescript247.txt")

  • On Line 1 of your reply in this topic, write the name of your Cuboingo™ Script if it is different than the filename...
    (i.e. "Joe's Super Cool Script #247")

  • On Line 2, post a link to your Cuboingo™ Script...
    (i.e. http://www.joe.com/cuboingo/scripts/joescript247.txt)

  • On Line 3, include a 25 word (or less) description of your original script to let visitors understand why your script is fun, weird, etc....
    (i.e. "hi this is joe and my script is cool because it's got 1 level")

  • You may add any other information after your description - as long as you add a paragraph break after Line 3 (just press the 'Enter' or 'Return' key twice).

  • Summary of an acceptable Contest Entry...

    Joe's Super Cool Script #247
    http://www.joe.com/cuboingo/scripts/joescript247.txt
    hi this is joe and my script is cool because it's got 1 level.

    check out my website and eat lots of cheese!
    -joe

    If the above example script won the contest, the information on lines 1-3 would be listed in the Cuboingo™ Script Gallery page (at the top of the screen)!

  • Official Senntient.com contests will be conducted periodically - look for an announcement!

Remember - experiment, share and have fun!

Hi geraldEEN,

Just to repeat the information posted in the Game : High Scores! thread...

GAME SCRIPTS : Game Scripts are offered in the full commercial version and allow you to make your own Cuboingo games! Much more information about Game Scripts can be easily accessed in the Game FAQ of the "Help..." section at the top of the page.

The Demo uses just one Game Script. So, the cool thing about the full version is that you can load/save/edit/create as many as you want!

Ciao for now,

NOTE: The music is divided into 3 separate parts... try it - it's the beginning of a new way for me to create the music and the game scripts! (and you can do this too!)

Thanks Muvlo! I hope you're enjoying Clash! It's my girlfriend's favorite!

Wait 'til you play the next script (although "Suspend" is really neat - at least, I think so )...

hi kurisu,

i tried the new scripts lately and encountered some little problems...
i couldn't make it to finish 'vokill'...
*sob*
how pathetic, eh?

i really had troubles to fill out the sides which were pitch black, because they remained black and i couldn't really tell which fields were still missing...

first i thought it was all on purpose to make it a little harder, but when i encountered a cube that had 4 of 6 sides being pitch black, i thought that this couldn't be true, so i had a look into the script...
and found that the part about the colours looked like this:

DimColor1 = 194 76 0
DimColor6 = 144 81 174
DimColor3 = 0 81 182
DimColor2 = 22 130 19
DimColor5 = 130 163 168
DimColor4 = 165 141 71
MaxColor1 = 255 138 0
MaxColor6 = 222 132 255
MaxColor3 = 0 157 255
MaxColor2 = 108 217 104
MaxColor5 = 212 255 255
MaxColor4 = 255 231 106

i changed it into this form (i noticed that all scripts aside from the new ones like vokill, clash and suspend rather looked like this):

DimColor1 = 194 76 0
DimColor6 = 144 81 174
DimColor3 = 0 81 182
DimColor2 = 22 130 19
DimColor5 = 130 163 168
DimColor4 = 165 141 71
MaxColor1 = 255 138 0
MaxColor6 = 222 132 255
MaxColor3 = 0 157 255
MaxColor2 = 108 217 104
MaxColor5 = 212 255 255
MaxColor4 = 255 231 106

now i can see all the wonderful colours, too *yahoo*

although pitch black is my favourite colour...it is definitely not when i play cuboingo...*lol*

did anybody else ever encountered the same problems or am i just cursed?

cheers,

antinomy

Hi antinomy,

I read your post and kept staring at the 2 color sets. Blinking. Scratching my head. Pulling my hair out.

Until finally, years later, when bald with mounds of hair scattered around my chair and in my keyboard, I realized what you had probably attempted to relate in your post.

NOTE: This forum does not display more than one space between text or pictures. So, any tabs will become single spaces, etc.

Am I correct in assuming that the first color set uses TABS to separate the elements? Whereas the second set uses single-spacing?

If so, this is *very* strange that the blackness would occur due to the tabs.

I've never encountered this. Do you have the same problem with Clash and Suspend? If so, did you remove the tabs and replace them with singe spaces? If so, did the colors display properly?

Thanks for taking the time to share this, antinomy! I'm finishing up another couple of scripts... will post shortly!

ooopppppppssss,

i'm so sorry for my mistake, kurisu...
i didn't really notice that the forum doesn't show the tabs until i came back a few minutes ago...silly me...
i just hope you didn't lose too much hair cause of me

yes, you were absolutely right, i was referring to the tabs
i replaced all the tabs

with single spaces

i had the same problems with suspend, but strangely never with clash.

maybe i'm just cursed or did something wrong.
don't mind me...i was only a bit vexed about the pitch black squares, which made playing really difficult...*lol*

Any problem/difficulty you experience (as well as happy/fun stuff) should be something to share here! Besides, unless we know of a problem, how can we try and fix it?

Hmm. I'll update the scripts so that nobody else has this problem... thanks antinomy!

That should be a good bridge script, helping out people past "Beginner" and "Demo". Though I have to admit, do to carelessness , I just barely escaped with two mistakes!

Say... didn't someone have a script they were working on for, like, years, or something????? *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*

We sure could use one script from someone other than myself or ComfyChair!!!!

Another script is done - very unique - but I won't share it for another few days

Announcement: NEW Vortex Perimeter script is now available here!

Finally, I have finished a script!
"Vortex Perimeter" is the name.
In it one is gently dipped
onto a very hot cube, set aflame!

As the fire heats, the cube turns more quickly,
fortunatly for the player.
For the pieces come ever more thickly,
Like water from a garden-hose sprayer!

A careful player wishing to win
Will continually rotate to off-side,
Even though all four pieces be akin
To see the colors of other-side.

Level one and two
Inform you of later level needs;
They give you a clue
Which the smart Cuboingoer heeds!

Level four is sub-divided
Waste no time here though,
By the countdown do be guided,
And before the pieces watch the halo.

Three and five are odd ones,
Ready to cause mistakes without your watching.
The pieces are not for specific regions,
Just their to cause much blotching!

Then six through nine
Are quite similar in play,
With a close design
And though fearing same you cannot stay!

The pinacle of level ten at last!
The time runs low,
And pieces fall fast.
The looming pieces go on, and grow!

I got 2 minutes to try the script once before going to work... some very neat ideas in it... will play tonight and share some more reactions! I'll see if I can't think of some music to go along with it! Any ideas for a style? Fast, slow, weird???

Great job Muvlo!

I find music makes scripts much easier to play... so maybe I'll actually get a no-mistakes game with my script, a thing which, so far, I, uh, haven't "gotten around to" yet.

First, the loading time is pretty amazing given all the graphics... you and your graphics editor seem to have that technique down pretty well. Which is nice, 'cause they (the graphics) look great! They give the scripts a very impressive look.

PS - As regards your PS take your time!

Hi Muvlo,

First of all - thanks for the feedback on the Script Gallery page! I thought I'd replied to your post a long time ago!

Second - I think this is a very interesting script... and I'd like to include this in the gallery. Would you like to create some cover and side graphics for the box art (as displayed for each box in the gallery)? If so, here are the dimensions for the flat (face on) image you should supply:

Front Box Art
101x400

Side Box Art
401x400

Just give me a link so I can download these (or post the images here) and I'll convert them, package the scripts and upload them ASAP!
