Few days ago i was talking with one man about some stuff about Sonic X-Treme. He is familiar with some of the people that worked on the game, such as Coffin and Ofer Alon.
He wanted to share with screen-shot, but was not able to register to this forum (as i said him about this place). He was a bit busy, however he gave one screen-shot, that today he and i will share to public, but first, this is what he wants to say to everybody:

"Just call me Simon. I have made a new email address so no one will know my real identity. I have joined this forum, but I seem not to be able to gain the validation email. I have a picture of Sonic X-Treme, late into development. I will show more pictures in time, but I have a very busy schedule, and don't have time to get more pictures at the moment. Please do not hassle me about the game, or for more information. You may share this with your friends. Thankyou. Merry Christmas"

So, heres the Screen-Shot:

Let's wait for more media! Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Call me a skeptic, but that picture's size seems weird (704x448) and the proportion looks wrong (it looks too wide).

If I'm wrong, I'm happy to admit it, but that was the first thing I noticed.

That's Sonic X-Treme, late in development, he says? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that just one of the gameplay engines that Chris Coffin made?

That looks so fimular to chris Coffin's project around the same time as X-Treme.

It's screaming hoax to me... I doubt that only the textures and Sonic's Model would really change to be honest...

So you honestly believed SEGA would let anything like this get on the market.
oh crap what the hell
Besides the Sega Saturn could push out those kinds of graphics.

Actually this could be legit as the resolution matches the resolution of all the other screenshots we see from this level or build.
http://projectsonic.com/1/

And is the same model and textures as look at sonic's head. Just like all the other screens his head has a shade of purple on it for whatever reason.

Also in no other screenshot does it show him in that position suggesting it's not a rip and then added to a new background.

Simon ehh, could it be Simon Wai, he got us the first sonic 2 beta, it is possible, and he did take off claiming that he had "other" things to pursue in life

HXC's info might be helpful, after all the stuff he's dug up for us. I can't recall Kurisu ever posting a full roster of people who worked on Xtreme (definetly not Coffin's version), there might well have been a Simon on the team.

wingedwolfIf "Simon" isn't already a member here, please tell him he'd be welcome to join.

Hmm, that is possible, but i haven't got any news from him. Anyway, Hxc could get something, and i am sure that he can, but as i have notised he doesn't like to talk about xtreme much at the last time. Or is it just me? I think he just doesn't like me, that should explain why he blocked me. Now i feel totally *u**** up.

It's fake.

This was concluded ages ago and I don't have the proof on me anymore, but it's pretty much definitely fake.

Sorry folks.

Was this the engine that was released? Perhaps that was used to make the screenshot.
