This is the third world I created from scratch in one week using Ofer Alon's editor. By "scratch," I mean textures, level layout, design, enemies, titles and score pop-ups, etc... everything except Sonic and the Ring graphic. Granted, the level needed a lot of work to be done (should have been longer and many issues addressed), but still - it's impressive to have tools that would allow such fast creation.

This was one of four worlds I created near the very end of the project to help Ofer and I gain support to do the PC version of Sonic Xtreme.

Red Sands Video - 25 Mb Zipped .AVI

Here are all of the worlds you can view/discuss:

* Jade Gully
* Crystal Frost
* Red Sands
* Death Egg

Just a question: Was there diagonal movement in Sonic Xtreme? I was wondering because in the sprite pack, I noticed that there are diagonal walking/running/ect. sprites for Sonic.

Glad you dig it, peeps.

Matrix802 - Diagonal movement? Yes (but only 4 directions for Sonic's sprites were shown)

Dobermann - Didn't forget, just no time! There's quite a bit shared here already that will go into existing SXC sections... hope you were able to download the video!

I like the shading in this level... Cool stuff. Looks a bit different from the other Red Sands pics I saw before in Magazines.

Another video.... more impressive level designs!

I mean it, you really have a talent for that, even more so when you said how quickly the stage was put together! *Claps*

I like the lighting with the flames, adds to the atmosphere quite well. Also the Reflex Lens/Fish eye cam makes the jump from moving platform to moving platform look quite impressive.
