Okay, here's a quick crack at revising that tiny 320x200 test anim frame into a large logo: Anyone is free to use it for their demos. Reminder: Things shared here should not be used for commercial purposes. Enjoy! -k IP: 66.77.144.8 |

Wow! Did you just whip that up from scratch or did you find it in some files recently? Either way, it looks really cool. There's an error on the S though, it kinda runs into the X in a bad way.Just one question (I love asking questions), was this title going to be used on the Box Art, or was the Sonic Xtreme logo on the box art meant to be for the box art?

BM - Sure, Brandon - feel free to wallpaper your room with it! bob - I took a frame of that tiny Title Sequence then blew it up in Photoshop, then used that as reference to redraw the basic shapes of the logo. Then I just added effects and stuff to make it prettier. Xtreme Logo Photoshop File Inside this file, there are 3 layers - the logo, the extrusion and the trademark symbol. Anyone is free to use this file and play with it... Enjoy! Oh, and the error you mention is part of the design... the "T" of Xtreme overlaps the extended "S" that turns into part of the "X"... and the overlap is cut out. See it? Oh well, probably means it's a bad design if it looks like an error! [edited February 01, 2006 by kurisu] IP: 66.77.144.8 |

Okay... lol ...hold on to your pancakes. I just realized that I didn't have anti-aliasing activated when I made the logo shape. BAH. Look at those jagged edges! UGH. I'll fix that and post the new logo image and Photoshop source... but can't do it for another 1-2 days IP: 24.126.160.81 |

quote: I thought this might be of some use to you guys - it's a recreation of the logo used on the "official" box arts that's almost exactly proportionate to those logos and is reasonably high resolution. It's not perfect, but it's the best I could do with such a low-resolution image as a base. My image is a 24-bit alpha-transparent PNG, so image quality is not an issue.
Reposted because it ended up being more relevant here than the cover art topic. Base pic IP: 70.128.243.17 |

This re-creation looks cool, mainly the 'X-Treme' part. For the Sonic part, though, the outline and bevel effects look a bit odd.Check out this Sonic CD (for PC) logo for a better base: http://dioxaz.free.fr/download/art/sonic%20cd%20logo.png This image has been donated to be by Sonichhog (aka Cybersoga) and except the drop shadow, it looks quite identical to the one seen on this X-Treme cover art. Hmm, the only problem with that CD logo is that the colors are kind of pale, but that could be corrected. I'll make a new version of my logo and use that SONIC text as a base. I also thought the colors on the "X-TREME" looked a little iffy (too yellow). IP: 70.128.243.47 |

OK. I've just removed the drop shadow and added transparency to make your work easier (check it out): http://dioxaz.free.fr/download/art/sonic_orangenblue.png IP: 83.159.39.201 |

Dioxaz - Thanks for sharing that logo - nice work - and welcome!Guess_Who - Great job! Marketing would probably pick that as the title logo... I can see it on the packaging in Toys 'R Us! My version of the logo indeed breaks away from the classic Sonic style and goes in a completely different direction, to be sure. IP: 24.126.160.81 |

Oh, it was nothing, really. By the way, I can see you updated your logo with anti-aliasing (and even the PSD that is linked into one of your posts). Really nice ^^. Thank you, kurisu! [edited February 05, 2006 by Dioxaz] IP: 83.159.39.201 |

I made a more modern looking extreme logo. It looks newer since the word "Sonic" is from Sonic Riders. (Which actually has a lot of X-Treme-ish elements.) It needs a bit of editing.IP: 198.166.251.62 |
