So anyways Andrew, sorry for the wait, but here are some suggestions:

-I think Sonic is a bit fast, and it looks like he runs with his mouth open. Basically I would suggest just keeping the original sprites, if it's ok. smile2

-Can you put in the classic jump sound effect? I think it would really add to the classic feel of the remake.

Otherwise, there's really nothing else for me to say. This game, even in its incomplete stage, is awe-inspiring, and the controls feel very smooth.

Great job!

P.S.: Could you please re-upload the demo (on another site)? I accidentally uninstalled my copy. lol (or you could email it to me xD)

P.P.S: hmm... haven't heard from kurisu in a while...

Hi sorry im taking a break from the sonic projects to do home renovations,,,
Life coms first.

Sonics mouth is open you say ? hnmmm ...I don't see that,,,
Also the sprites are origonal...nothing has been changed about there in game apearence...
Yeah,,the classic jump sound effect will be in there, i didn't have time to add any final polish to the demo at the time of its release.
Sonic's overall top speed will be toned down, I noticed that too.....
Sorry,,, I don't have time to re-upload the demo at the moment , if anyone has the demo they can re-upload it and link it here if they like.

hnmm ya Kurisu hasn't been around these last few months,,, wonder what happened..

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

Andrew, I just watched the newest demo on youtube and I must say it's impressive man, hope you continue the project soon after your life isn't so demanding of course.

On a side note can anyone share the demo on another file hosting website or send it to me? I saw this thread a bit late and never got to download the demo. It would be much appreciated.

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

you gata download all 3,
than unrar them, perhaps there are 3 because the file is to big for a single upload?

Oh okay lol Sorry XDD I did not downloaded the original link because of norton stopping me from doing so,so I had no idea how the full package was,and by the time I got to it,Megaupload was shut down so I couldn't download it at the time. >.<

But one question though, where do I go to run the game again? I found the Project ASAX Folder that the program installed at,but I'm not sure where to go in order to play the game again,do I have to reinstall it just to play it again?

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

Hi, i got 3 questions for AXSX.

1= What is the progress of the game? Like is it 20% complete or 25% complete?

2= Is there any plans to make a version that doesn't require GDK?

3= I'm not sure if this was discussed before, but why does the topic of the forum say ASAX when the project is AXSX?

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

1= Engine progress is 95%, level progress is at 28% ( can't work on this everyday now)
2 = no plans
3 = typo

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

Thank You for answering my questions Andrew75 but i thought of 2 more questions.

1= What are you going to do about the music for the game? In the demo, you had 3 tracks playing. Are those tracks going to be played during the entire game or will something else play?

2= Are you allowed to change the name of this topic to AXSX or once you make the name, you can't change it?

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

Thank You for answering my questions Andrew75. Am I the only one that thinks this topic should be a sticky topic? Like when you click the Sonic Xtreme Fan Stuff fourm, you see this at the top of the page.

Re: AXSX (Sonic Xtreme and other Misc Projects)

Well guys, I'll be entering SAGE next month, Not with Xtreme , But another mini project that I've been working on used for tweaking the engine I've been using for Xtreme.
Its taken longer than I had anticipated. but its almost finished. Sonic's gameplay mechanics have been much improved over the previous demo released last X-mas.
Another advantage of side tracking and doing green hill zone will be for using it as a template for my other project Sonic CD Remix.
