Kind of insteresting if it's real. The trees seem to be in front of sonic, as well as behind him.
And that standing animation (Yeah, I know it's just one frame)... Nice.

The background seems to be legit, at least. And if I'm not mistaken, Sonic is a darker blue here than he was in the final product. Running animation seems earlier, too. The 'paddling' motion he does with his arms is fairly pronounced (more so than in the final, I think). The lack of objects and enemies, too...

Either a really well-done, elaborate hoax, or it's legit. For some reason the way it seems like the image is captured off a TV makes it more legit. If it were a hoax, I would imagine it would be a comptuer screen capture instead. No realistic basis for that last thought; it just makes sense to me personally.

Either way, nice find martianman!

Assuming it's real, which I don't think it is. Sonic is supposed to be sky blue, like the Classic Sonic in Generations.

Possibly fake, though the pallete could've been changed in a similar version(?), notice how the buildings are the same pallete as sonic in both. Another thing, has anyone noticed theres no Welcome sign?

This could mean one of two things;
-The video is fake
-or there may have been two identical versions- the first with a darker pallette, the next with a welcome sign & a sky blue sonic!

Intresting. Going with my previous theory, it could be so that this "identical" version is an american version with the sign translated - or they felt that putting it into english would be best since they usually think most players would speak english. Still it could be fake, but at this point i only care to see what he reveals next.
