Hey guys! I thought I may actually give Sonic another go. I haven't tried to make a Fangame for like.. a year or more actually, and I really don't want to make a full fangame ( I'd reather finish my own stuff (See: Project Aurora) ), but when I release Project Aurora in November, and IF I happen to have some free time and IF YOU REMIND ME TO, I may actually give you another Sonic-X-Treme-Thingy-GameMaker-Example...Thingy, in other words, a Proper Sonic Xtreme Example for GameMaker.... And with only one condition - it would never appear outside of this forum, lol.

Oh and, those videos look pretty cool! Keep it up! tongue1

It's funny how you guys ignore me when i'm trying to help everyone who wants to make SX Fangames, even though many still want me to make more Sonic Xtreme crap. big_smile1

But yeah, maybe this isn't the right place...

I wasn't ignoring you. Any help you could provide would be great. You already helped so much. You gave me what I what looking for forever ago.

I love how this looks. Seriously, it is amazing. But could you do us one tiny favor?

Please use the original grass textures, wall textures, and water textures? I'd think they'd look better here...

my personal opinion ius that you should use these beautiful high res textures because it adds a new originiality to an old game.

Just one minor comment on an otherwise awesome-looking game: Your water texture doesn't seem to be tiling well... But other than that, this looks good so far!  And I think it would look good whether you choose to go with the original textures or the new, hires ones.

Very impressive stuff. I would say the HUD is a little larger than it needs to be, but the style is good.

yes you are absolutely right! but keep in mind the objects room sprite must have the same number of frames as the animation you are trying to texture or it won't work!

oh and to those who thought the project has been abandoned, it hasn't. Update soon

I've been trying to do what you've done in GM8 for a while would you mind sending me one of the levels in .Game Maker File so I can see how you did it?

Re-Volt, I'm sorry but I do not feel comfortable releasing Sonic Xtreme GM8 in .gmk file of any kind at this time. (NOT EVEN ONE LEVEL) I would be happy to help you with what things I have done that you are curious about, but you should start by being more specific. What things have I done in my project that you are also trying to do?
Winged Wolf released this engine a long time ago and it is available for download but you have to ask him where to get it. His version has only basic elements however as I have made major additions to this thing as you can see from my videos above.
I will release my modified version of the engine for anybody to use, but that won't be exactly the same as my game and that won't happen until after I release the game.

okay ya one last thing may I ask how did you get every thing solid?
so like getting sonic not to got though things....
