I've actually moved back over to the C4 game engine from the ult 3D engine,
Right now I'm in the process of catching up with how C4 functions again. Because of all the updates.
Its a C++ based engine, but it also has a new graphical scripting system which is really awesome.

looking for a C++ programmer to join up with, someone familiar with mathamatics like 4x4 Matrix's and 3D vectors.,
we'd be starting over from scratch with the programming since all the ult 3d/gamemaker code isn't compatible,
anyways i have 2 C4 licenses 1 which i can loan out.

C4 game engine is rather easy to learn, especially with the new PDF book,
anyone could pick it up and within a week or 2 start useing C4 easily.
only part that im not good at is the programming in C++ stuff.

I think that guy, synchronizer, was trying to say that because you are using a C# variant, it should be ported easly to Objetive C, the Macintosh Language... only there is a problem... He wants a PPC binary version of the SCDR, while most Mac users have an intel chip already (PPC is a little bit outdated these days)... well, i think that synchronizer thinks that porting it to Cocoa(Intel) and Carbon(PPC) [PLEASE GUY, DONT THINK EVEN ON DOING IT USING THE OLD CLASSIC TOOLBOX API] is easy, but it isnt!...

I hope that it solves anything...

if you need help to understand a little bit more about that, because i'm friggin' unable to make the people understand, i will be glad to try to answer to you

I dunno much of these things, but i know out enought of the mac division of APIs to know that it will require a very, very long time... withouth counting the possible limitations of quartz and core video/animation/image/sound... equiparable to betwen DX 8 and DX 9

Not so solved...

Quartz and the core especific tasks (video e image) yes, are based on the OpenGL engine, but, as the same thing c4 is based in c, and it could be ported on Cocoa/Carbon the opengl GFX engine of the game could also ported, but we can have a really big risk of lossing GFX quality if is the frist port, and it should be re-relased a lot of times until the porting thecnique is pulished...

u could show them this stuff to help gain there attention.
and they really dont need to program graphics related stuff so much.
since i know how to use most of the C4 tools curently avalable.
mosty what the programmer would be working on is the gameplay system. ^__^

I don't think the 360 and PS3 have support for universal binaries. I mean, there's little point in that considering developers should use the official SDK instead which will always generate code for its specific console, and if I'm not wrong, universal binaries are a Mac-only thing.

ok i got the response from Eric, the owner of C4
he says, the Mac version has to be built with Xcode. ( X-code folder does come with the source so i kinda thought so)

Ive sent another question concerning easy conversion threw out platforms and how its handled and if its handled.

Sorry, i don't have a mac so i couldn't tell you what the files in the X code folder has as icons for C4 since I'm on a PC.
also im not familiar with the mac platform, so i really am clueless on how to answer any mac questions , lol
i dont think i can do a Mac version of the game since the code would probably have to be re-done from scratch for an
X-code build.
i could be wrong, but that's how it looks.

@nextguardian that's a good idea, when i have some nice material to put up ill go for it.
at the moment I'm doing a lot of learning with the C4 game engine.

hey , there probbly wont be to many screans for awhile since my main focus is on getting C4 down pat,
im almost threw the book, and can now do some simple text based games in C++ lol
if when i get a programmer thats more experienced than myself ,than i'll go back to doing the graphics stuff.
