Sonic Xtreme Archive

This is most likely the largest collection of Sonic Xtreme data on the internet in one place. For over two years I have been collecting everything that I could on Sonic Xtreme and have since accumulated about 3 GB worth. The links below have tons of information that some of the newer people on the forum have never seen and possibly some things that no longer exist online. So please, feel free to download as much of this as you can and enjoy!

SXC Backup
-Size: 312 MB
-Contents: Concept artwork, characters, enemies, and music, original gameplay videos and models, magazine articles, interviews, and more.
-Description: This file contains a complete backup of the Sonic Xtreme Compendium website (sans a few thumbnails that no one cares about).
-Overlap: Some videos from the video package, official music from the music package.
-Updated: 10/27/12 (Repaired)
-Notes: This package may be updated in the future to include the missing thumbnails, but otherwise it is complete.

-Updated: 7/5/12 (Uploaded)
-Notes: I might have missed some videos, please let me know if I did.

Music

-Contents: All Sonic Xtreme concept music (including official remixes and extensions) along with additional unrelated pieces by Christian Senn.
-Description: This file contains the concept music released by Chris for Sonic Xtreme.
-Overlap: Official music from the SXC backup package.
-Updated: 7/5/12 (Uploaded)
-Notes: If in the unlikely chance some of the files are corrupted or damaged, please let me know.

PackageX Leak and Level Viewers
-Size: 10.9 MB
-Contents: Leaked graphics and levels from the PC version of Xtreme with level viewers by SANiK and Uhyve.
-Description: This file contains the entire PackageX leak purged to remove unneeded file duplicates and with additional level viewers added in.
-Overlap: Little to none.
-Updated: 7/5/12 (Uploaded)

Fan Remakes and Tech Demos
-Size: 270 MB
-Contents: Playable fan remakes and playable tech demos of Sonic Xtreme.
-Description: This package contains the actual NiGHTS engine tech demo with an emulator and fan remakes of Sonic Xtreme.
-Overlap: Little to none.
-Updated: 9/5/12 (Uploaded)
-Notes: If I missed any fan remakes, if any files don't work, or if I have included something I shouldn't have, please let me know.

I will have to get this and scour it some time to make sure I don't mysteriously have something you don't.

Heads up, the torrent will be down for the next 12 hours, so wait until then to start downloading again (not that anyone seems to care, no one has even started downloading it yet).

It comes down to the matter of, regardless of size, how much people care about obtaining this stuff. If people want I could split it up into multiple smaller torrents, but I get the feeling you're one of those kinds of people who would have me do that then just spit in my face and still not download it.

EDIT: Also, the torrent is back up ahead of schedule.

Well, if you do decide to split it up in sub sections, people can download the stuff they want. I'm just worried because if I have wait  7 hours (I have a slow computer) and find out it doesn't work, I'm not happy.  If it's a small file and it doesn't work, I don't become as mad because I didn't waste alot of time downloading it.

7 hours is faster than it'd be for me :S
My internet has no real set speed. On the best of days, it'd take 8 hours. On bad days (AKA: 240p youtube videos don't even begin to load days), it'd be well over a week (Although I said 'bad days' and a week is over a day >.<)
Sadly, my internet has been 'in a bad mood' lately. Which sucks. I just became hooked on a new anime series, but I can't watch it.

Anyway, Sandman, you should make a separate file with just the SXC stuff.

There's a 50% percent chance everything I say is false (Including that statement)

Re: Sonic Xtreme Archive

Alright, due to popular demand (read: GameMaster and Mattt) I'm splitting the package up into neat and organized bits. Eugh. I'm starting to go through and organize my clutter and will start uploading packages within the next few days (possibly hours). The first ones I'll put up will be my backup of the SXC, all Xtreme videos that have been released so far, an entire catalog of Xtreme's music (including the Lost Boss remix, extended Space Queens, Trench, and more of Chris' audio), and the SONCBOOM leaked package along with a wide selection of level viewers. The rest will be fun to sort through and I have no idea how it will be split up, just give me a bit of time.

EDIT: And the process of split-ation has begun! The original post now contains the first few links to several packages that are ready to download and more are on the way. The 2-gig behemoth will remain up during this process.

No problemo. smile3

Could someone try to download the SXC torrent really quick? It seems as though some people have already but I'm not sure if it's working. You don't need to download the whole thing, just let me know if you are able to start the download.

Alright, I found the real source of the problem, and unfortunately its not something I can fix until I'm back home from vacation (port forwarding on a router, which I can't perform where I am). Sorry guys, you might need to wait a few weeks for the SXC backup.

Re: Sonic Xtreme Archive

I downloaded the video and music files. All files work except for 2 video's that are called "Trailer" and "32x Sonic model rotation". I can't start "Trailer". For "32x Sonic model rotation", when it hit's the 7 second mark, the video stops moving but the music stills plays. It skips to a random point in the video when it hits 17 seconds. When it hits 26 seconds, it goes to the "not for commercial use. CopyRight C Sega screen". If I click to a random point in the video, it stays like that until i exit out. All the music and the rest of the video's work fine though.

I was also wondering what 2k6 stands for in one of the music folders?

Thanks for the info, I'll look into the two videos.

Anyways, I have created a temporary download for the SXC backup using Google Drive, and the 2-gig dump may follow. Depending on how well this service works, I may just end up hosting them there permanently.

EDIT: The two videos are working fine for me, but I just noticed they were both .AVI files. For some reason Microsoft has always had strange problems with .AVI codecs and trying to view .AVI videos with Windows Media Player often results in video errors. If you can, try converting the files to a different format or use a different media player (e.g. VLC or such). I might upload a new video package soon to keep the file types consistent, but if there are any videos I forgot to include I'd like to put those in before I update the package.

Nah. All it has is the Space Queens song playing in the background, nothing special.

They're not in the package because they aren't videos of Sonic Xtreme (just concepts) and, more importantly, they are included already in the SXC backup as much less space consuming .GIF animations.

Thanks for looking though.

What about videos of the Sonic Xtreme 718 Beta?

Also, in your post, it says you got 3 GB worth of data but the total is 1.92 GB of Data.

I have the actual 718 beta, so no video is needed.

The uncompressed package is 3 gigs.
